Full Day Trip from Marrakech to Ouarzazate

The Moroccan trip summons you to relish Ouarzazate fully day trip. It aims at enjoying Ouarzazate, where you can have fresh air. The valley of Draa and desert landscapes are to celebrate. We go to Ouarzazate through Tizi n Tichka. It is touted as the highest pass in North Africa. The purpose is the discovery of a site known by the magnificence of its sceneries. The second stop is made for a visit to the castle of Ait-Ben-Haddou. It is categorized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site; it has represented in a wealth of western films. Finally, we pay a visit to Ouarzazate, whose name means “no conflict site.” Later on, we visit the Taourirt and Tiffoultoute. Lunch is served in Ouarzazat in a restaurant prior to returning to Marrakech.

Let’s explore Ouarzazate

At 07:00 am we start leaving Marrakech towards Ouarzazat. On the way to the destination, we pass through Tishka pass, Tizi n Tichk. Berber/Amazigh villages are spreading in the area. They grant a great view to populated High Atlas Mountains. We optionally make a stop to take some pictures in the fantastic area. The castle of Ait Ben Haddou is categorized by UNESCO as a cultural heritage place. It is also a backdrop for many western movies. The castle has been functioning as a setting place for several famous movies, such as Gladiator, Scorpion King and suchlike. We keep wandering in its narrow streets and take pictures. We can enjoy sometime within its clay walls and houses. Another stop for having lunch in a restaurant is made. After the pause, we direct to Atlas studios. It is a studio whereby most successful movies are shot. Here, we witness ashes of a bunch of western films. The trip keeps on to the Ouarzazate city. The visit includes Taourirt’s Kasbah. The trip reaches Tifoultot’s Kasbah. Finally, at 04:00 pm, we leave the door to Desert in the direction of Marrakech. We penetrate the Tichka pass again to arrive in Marrakech at 07:00 pm. The trip includes dropping you off at your residence.
